  • EDITING AND EDITING...

Sorry I've been quiet on here of late but I've been busy editing my second book Shine, Izzy, Shine which I think is going to be a really great story if I say so myself. The book comes out next year and I can't wait for you to get the chance to read it. The story centres around a girl called Izzy whose mum, Rio has an accident on the day of her wedding that puts her in a coma. Rio wakes up from the coma but she's shocked to see that she has a daughter because she thinks it's still 1995 and she's still 14-years-old. The novel basically explores the relationship between Izzy and her mum as Izzy helps her mum to remember the life she's forgotten.

I did a few school events last month which I really enjoyed. I visited St Matthew School in south London where I spoke about Lolly Luck and helped the pupils do a mini improvisation piece to illustrate how a story plot works. The following day I attended the Greenwich Schools Book Quiz along with fellow author Frances Hardinge who's really lovely. We both spoke about our lives as authors and handed out medals to pupils competing in the quiz.

So that’s all for now I’m afraid.... I’ve got to go and do some more editing!
